Management training workshop in a modern boardroom

Management Training that changes how your team works

We run practical, small-group programmes for managers at every level. Your people leave with skills they use on Monday morning, not a binder that collects dust.

What we actually do

Most management courses try to cover everything. Ours don't. Each programme focuses on one skill cluster, taught over two or three days, with live practice built into every session. Participants manage real scenarios drawn from your industry, receive direct feedback from our trainers, and leave with a personal action plan they review with us four weeks later.

We work with organisations of 15 to 5,000 employees across the UK. Our trainers have held line-management roles themselves; they are not academics reading from slides. That matters because the gap between theory and a difficult Tuesday afternoon conversation is wide, and we want to close it.

New manager foundations

A three-day programme for people stepping into their first management role. Covers delegation, one-to-one meetings, setting expectations, and giving feedback that people actually hear. Groups of 8 to 12.

Performance conversations

One intensive day on annual reviews, informal check-ins, and difficult conversations. Participants practise with actors and receive video playback. Designed for managers with at least six months of experience.

Senior leadership intensive

A two-day residential for directors and senior managers. Focuses on strategic decision-making, cross-functional influence, and building a leadership culture below you. Capped at six participants per cohort.

Why organisations choose us

Since 2016 we have trained over 3,400 managers across 190 organisations. Our repeat booking rate sits at 78%, which tells us more than any testimonial could. Still, here is what a few clients have said.

"We sent 14 team leads through the new manager foundations course last autumn. Within three months, our internal engagement scores for those teams rose by 11 points. The trainers were honest and direct, which our people appreciated."

Rachel Ingham, Head of People, Carwell Logistics

"I have sat through a lot of leadership training. This was the first time I left feeling like I had practised something real rather than just discussed theory. The video playback in the performance conversations day was uncomfortable but genuinely useful."

Our approach in detail

Trainer leading a small group session at a whiteboard

Every programme follows a structure we call "learn, practise, plan." The first portion introduces a concept with a short talk and a case study. Then participants work through a scenario in pairs or small groups while a trainer observes and coaches. Finally, each person writes a specific commitment: what they will do differently next week, with whom, and how they will know it worked.

We do not use personality tests or abstract models. If a framework appears in our material, it is because participants will use it in an exercise within the next 30 minutes. That constraint keeps us honest about what actually helps and what is just interesting.

After the programme ends, every participant receives a follow-up call at the four-week mark. This is a 20-minute coaching conversation where we review their action plan, discuss what went well, and adjust anything that did not land. Roughly 85% of participants take the call, and many tell us it is the most valuable part of the whole experience.

For organisations booking more than one programme, we assign a dedicated account manager who learns your culture, your language, and your priorities. They attend a briefing with your HR team before each cohort and tailor scenario content to match your actual challenges. A logistics company gets logistics scenarios. A hospital trust gets clinical leadership scenarios. Generic case studies do not transfer.
